The next team event can come – with our cooking classes for FREIgeister in Göttingen! Our district kitchen is at your disposal with 150 m², state-of-the-art kitchen appliances and extensive equipment for maximum cooking fun. Here you will learn new tricks from the chefs of our restaurants & get tips, to use at home and to feast directly on the spot.

After cooking, it's time to enjoy together: in the Quartiersblick, our 120 m² large, light-flooded event room right next to the district kitchen or directly at the inviting tables in the kitchen itself.

Would you like to enjoy a team event with Mediterranean delights and Family Style Dinner without cooking yourself? Then go for a first-class antipasti tasting at Viani Alimentari, followed by dinner in our district kitchen.

In the district kitchen of the FREIgeist Hotel Göttingen Nordstadt you will find a high-quality cooking studio with state-of-the-art Miele brand appliances.

  • Professional equipment: induction hob, steam cooker, oven, heating drawers, wok station or Teppan Yaki grill
  • Highlight: The dialogue cooker, which as a technological innovation cooks all products evenly
  • Drinks: The two-zone wine fridge is always stocked to provide the perfect accompaniment to dinner

Malte Gunzert is the head chef at Relais & Châteaux Hardenberg BurgHotel, where he serves seasonal dishes primarily made from local produce. Rüdiger Mehlgarten cooks as a chef in the restaurant WALDWERK in Northeim, about 25 km from Göttingen. His inspiration is the nature and the forest on the doorstep. For him, cooking means creating an experience for you. It also means dealing with the product itself, the origin and the producer – most of whom he knows personally by name. As much as possible, 'Rudi' exclusively uses regional and seasonal products at WALDWERK and during your cooking class in Göttingen.

Viani meets Quartiersküche! Viani Alimentari provides a relaxed atmosphere for indulging in authentic Italian gourmet products, making it a place for genuine Italian pleasure. Here, your team begins with a tasting experience before moving to our neighboring Quartiersküche, where you'll leisurely enjoy the main courses served family-style.

  • Price: € 59,00 p. P
  • Requirements: Minimum of 15 people, maximum of 40 people. Duration is 2-3 hours, including a shared dinner. Due to additional arrangements, we charge a room rental fee for the Quartiersküche, which varies based on the number of participants. Feel free to inquire for more details.
