Our FREIgeist Northeim is located very close to the Harz Mountains. Visit the towns of Osterode or Herzberg am Harz in just 30 minutes by car, and the next day, embark on an eventful bike tour to the Northeimer Lake District.
Or perhaps Team Golf? At the Hardenberg Golf Resort, just 15 minutes away by car, you can play on one of the 2 German championship courses with a Par-3 island green; the KeilerKopf.

Our FREIgeist Bar is integrated into our restaurant WALDWERK – here we serve you with cool wines, gin & tonics, or delicious WALDWERK lemonades.
In the evenings, the FREIgeist Bar is the place for spirited conversations with your family, friends, or colleagues.
Behavior in Case of Fire
In case the fire alarm goes off, immediately leave your room as depicted on the evacuation plan on the inside of your room door. If you need assistance, inform the reception immediately. Afterwards, wait outside the building at our assembly point, the parking lot in front of the Waldbühne.
Follow the instructions of our staff and the fire department. Do not re-enter the building until you have consulted with a FREIgeist or the fire department.
Bike Rental
Discover our beautiful surroundings on two wheels and enjoy the nature of Lower Saxony around our hotel.
Reserve one of our modern Trek e-bikes before your arrival. Your rental agreement awaits you at reception, and after a brief personal briefing, you can start immediately. We provide you with a key, helmet, lock, and a bicycle basket upon request.

If you book on-site, you pay €35.00 for 4 hours and €10.00 per hour.

Wake up refreshed and start the day with a hearty breakfast – where? On the upper floor in the restaurant WALDWERK or in good weather on our terrace.
From many individual, selected ingredients such as fruits, eggs, juices, grains, breads, and coffee beans, you can put together a breakfast from the buffet that will rouse your spirits. The short supply routes of our regional products ensure everything reaches your plate fresh.
Take a seat by the fireplace – or make yourself comfortable on the terrace by the pond beach.

Our reception is staffed daily from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
If you arrive outside these hours, you will find your room key in a key box at the entrance door. All the necessary information, including the access code and everything important for your stay, will be sent to you in advance via email or communicated to you by phone.
