Breakfast in our WALDWERK restaurant, in the middle of the Northeim Forest, offers you the energy you need for the day.

Put together a FREIgeist breakfast from our incredible buffet selection, including fruit, eggs, juices, grains, bread and exceptional coffee. Given that all our products are regionally sourced as much as possible, everything we serve is fresh. Take a seat by the fireplace or make yourself comfortable on the terrace by the pond.

Hearty selection

Our breakfast buffet is diverse: savory, sweet or both – you are sure to find your favorite ways to start the day. This includes a large selection of rolls and croissants, fresh butter from our regional dairy farmer and a selection of local cheeses. We source the sausage directly from Northeim, and there is also crispy bacon, mini sausages and delicious cured salmon.

Regional Eggs

For many, eggs are part of a good breakfast. In addition to our scrambled and boiled eggs from the buffet, we are happy to prepare other egg dishes à la minute. You have the choice between omelette or fried egg. Because the taste of a dish depends on the quality of the raw materials, we get our local eggs fresh from the Penk organic farm in Moringen.
Also, most of the organic food from partners from the region are on our breakfast buffet.

A highlight: our homemade Bircher muesli and our selection of jams, which we prepare for our guests from seasonal fruit. The breakfast buffet is replete with fresh fruit and vegetables, crunchy cereals and a choice of plain and fruit quark. The ideal way to start your day.

Our delicious breakfast buffet also offers gluten- and lactose-free alternatives, including for example, lactose-free oat milk from the Oatly brand. We can also freshly prepare gluten-free rolls for you on request.
