Exhibition at the Kunsthaus - Emilija Škarnulytė
The Kunsthaus Göttingen presents a solo exhibition by Lithuanian artist Emilija Škarnulytė from February 3 to April 21, 2024. Renowned for her immersive video installations, she explores the impacts of technology and science on the Earth. The exhibition reveals invisible structures, with a focus on the video works "t ½" and "Rakhne." "t ½" features real footage from the decommissioned Ignalina nuclear power plant and submarine canals at the Arctic Circle, along with 3D remote sensing images from Super Kamiokande and the CLOUD experiment at CERN. "Rakhne" delves into data construction and mythologization. Škarnulytė's audiovisual presentations invite viewers on a meditative journey through past, present, and future.
