Group Exhibition at Kunsthaus Göttingen - Togetherness

The Kunsthaus Göttingen invites you to the internationally curated group exhibition "Togetherness" from July 20th to November 10th, 2024. This exhibition explores the diverse facets of friendship, belonging, love, and (queer) relationships through the medium of comics and graphic novels.

Artists such as Nino Bulling, Lina Ehrentraut, Tommi Parrish, and Marijpol address social norms, role clichés, intimacy, body and gender concepts, identity issues, and self-optimization in their works.

In the exhibition, you can discover drawings and texts that encompass personal experiences, social observations, thrilling stories, and humorous narratives. These are complemented by some sculptural works and objects.

Virtual exhibition at the Forum Wissen - Unpacking Colonialism

The online exhibition "Unpacking Colonialism" in Göttingen sheds light on the controversial topic of human remains in university collections from former German and European colonies.
Guest scholars explore and call for the respectful treatment of remains that were often taken against the will of the local population. The exhibition consists of short films by cultural anthropologist Sofia Leikam, which present various approaches to research, archive work and artistic approaches to this sensitive topic. It not only opens up a view of the Human Remains, but also of European colonialism and its continuities.
